Custom made biomechanical orthotics are designed
to reduce or eliminate foot pain by restoring your natural gait, balance and posture. If Dr Cooper prescribes custom orthotics, she will start by taking an impression of your feet while holding your foot in the ideal functioning position. Hand crafted orthotics will then be fabricated from your foot impressions. Dr Cooper prescribes the finest custom orthotics available which are fabricated by Northwest Podiatric Lab in Blaine, Washington.
These orthotics are made with advanced graphite composite configuration. Composites allow a lighter, stronger and significantly thinner orthotic which virtually eliminates shoe fit problems because of their decrased bulk. Many other labs continue to use 30 year old plastics technology that rely on simple thickness for strength.
While most health insurance companies will pay for only one pair of orthotics, there are additional options for those of us who take our foot health seriously. It is very convenient to have a second pair of orthotics to eliminate having to remove and insert our orthotics every time we change our shoes. Additionally, Dr Cooper can prescribe custom made orthotics for professional and competitive athletes for high impact athletic use in running, basketball, tennis, soccer, aerobics, hiking, golf, skiing, skating and cycling.
