ESWT- EXTRACORPOREAL SHOCKWAVE THERAPY

I performed four ESWT procedures for the treatment of plantar fasciitis right here in my office this week.  These four patients all returned to work before the end of this week.  Extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) has been nearly one hundred percent successful in the treatment of plantar fasciitis for my patients.  Even though most commercial health insurance carriers do not pay for this procedure, we have made ESWT affordable for many of my patients.  When you consider the costs associated with being off work for 4-6 weeks with invasive surgery for the treatment of plantar fasciitis, ESWT can indeed be a more affordable non-invasive treatment for plantar fasciitis.
